OpenLazarus AI teammates review: agents that work on company records
Agents that live inside the company’s own system rather than on top of rented apps, with limits set per teammate and every action logged. Not a tool for automating apps the company keeps elsewhere.

Most agent builders connect an AI model to the apps a company already rents and let it act through their interfaces. OpenLazarus takes the other route: its AI teammates work inside one system the company owns, on the same customer, order and invoice records as its staff1.
Best for: Companies that want agents to work on the same customer, order and invoice records as their staff, with limits per agent and every action logged.
Not the right fit for: Teams that only want to automate the SaaS apps they already rent, or a single personal assistant for one inbox.
What the agents do
The agent library lists 18 ready-made AI teammates across sales, customer service, finance, operations, people, marketing and administration: among them a receptionist that answers calls and books appointments, a bookkeeper that matches bank lines to the ledger, a purchasing agent that places orders and chases deliveries, and a billing agent that sends invoices and reminders. Each has an inbox, a phone number and limits the company sets. A new teammate can be described in plain words and built in the same conversation1.
Approvals and the record of what happened
The company decides what each teammate may do on its own and what it must ask first2. OpenLazarus's wholesale page gives examples of such limits: a purchase order over $15,000, or a customer credit over $500, waits for a person, and every action is logged where staff can see it. On the same page, the order-desk teammate builds orders from email, fax and voicemail for a person to confirm, and anything it is unsure of waits instead of guessing3.
Because the agents and the records sit in the same system, the log and the record are the same place: a reviewer can see which teammate changed an order, when, and under which rule. On its logistics page, OpenLazarus also describes per-brand separation, in which a teammate only works on one brand's records for that brand4.
Where the system runs
Each company's system runs on its own server, which OpenLazarus manages, with an option to move it to the company's own cloud and an EU hosting option52. Models are reached through its AI Router, so a teammate can use a different model as they improve2.
Published evidence
- Raven Analytics (client quote). On OpenLazarus’s AI-Architects page, the CEO of Raven Analytics, a professional-services firm, attributes 3x sales-funnel growth and a 2x improvement in staff efficiency to the data and AI work. OpenLazarus publishes this client statement about a consultancy engagement.8
Strengths and limits
Strengths
- Agents and records sit in the same system, so the approval rule, the action and the log all refer to the same order or invoice.
- Limits are set per teammate in business terms, for example a purchase order over $15,000 or a credit over $500 waiting for a person.
- Teammates work by email and phone as well as inside the system, which suits work that arrives by mail, fax and voicemail.
- Runs on the company’s own managed server, with an EU option and the right to move it to the company’s cloud.
Limits
- The agents work inside an OpenLazarus system; automating apps the company keeps elsewhere depends on connections built by its engineers.
- No independent reviews yet, and the published client results come from its consultancy rather than the agent library.
- Pricing for companies of 30 or more people is set in a session with its engineers and is not published.
- Per-user roles for staff are not documented on its public pages in the detail Copilot Studio or Relevance AI publish.
Choose another option if: Your records stay in Microsoft 365 or a CRM you will keep, and you want agents on top of them. Copilot Studio or Relevance AI fit that better.
Pricing
Published: Starter $100 and Pro $300 a month (each including that amount in AI credits), managed hosting from $150 a month, developer support from $4,500 a month.
Questions to ask OpenLazarus
- For our first teammate, which actions would run alone and which would wait for approval, and who approves them?
- Which of our systems would the teammate read from and write back to, and who connects them?
- Where would we review everything the teammate did last week?
- What does one teammate cost a month once AI credits, hosting and a phone line are included?
